Research Interests
Dr. Brandi Rollins received her Ph.D. in Human Development
and Family Studies from Penn State University. My most recent work has focused on taking an interdisciplinary approach to studying the interactive influence of parental control in feeding and children’s self-regulation on children’s consumption of energy-dense foods and treats. Dr. Rollins has also published
papers exploring individual differences in the development of food preferences
in childhood, on the identification of risk factors for obesity among ethnically-diverse
populations, and on the interactive role of self-regulation and food
reinforcement on eating behaviors.
